I paid a marketing/videography agency in Canada called OctionAgency and ended up getting scammed. We did the the first initial sales calls and everything seemed legitimate. They provided testimonials, proof of results, offered a money back gurantee, etc. They asked for initial deposit of 50% ($10,000) to get started. The other $10,000 we were suppose to pay after the ads were built then pay per results monthly. This is normal process for agency's i've worked with before.
We paid them, they kept delaying the start date, rescheduled multiple times until eventually they went completly ghost and stopped responding to me and ran off with our $10,000. The owner is a Canadian Indian immigrant named Brandon Gill.
It has been 15+ days with no response or refund.
I wanted to make this post to warn business owners to NOT WORK WITH THEM unless you want scammed.
We will be taking legal action against them in hopes to get our money back.
Let me know if you have any suggestions for this.
